Anyone can benefit from hypnotherapy.

 All you need to do is focus on your body and follow guided visualisation. Hypnosis is a natural state that occurs throughout the day when you feel you are drifting off to sleep, when you watch TV or when you become unaware of your surroundings. Hypnosis is not sleep as you are fully aware and you remain in control at all times. You are conscious of what is going on and can speak or move about should you need to.

During a typical session I guide my client into a deep state of relaxation. While in this state I can bypass the busy critical mind and access the subconscious mind. Generally clients go back to a time when their current problem began. By getting to the root of the problem we can eliminate the cause leaving the client free to get on with their lives.

For problems such as smoking cessation or exam nerves I would use suggestion therapy. This is designed to access the subconscious mind where the powerful suggestions can take root. As well as using positive suggestions the client will be shown how to visualise the desired outcome in an effective manner.
